Strawberry Nutella Sandwich

About the Recipe

This sandwich is as simple as it gets! You can make it and eat it now or pack it for lunch inside a lunch box.

Ingredients

  • 3 strawberries

  • 2 slices whole grain sandwich bread

  • 2 tablespoons Justin's Chocolate Hazelnut & Almond Butter (a healthier version of Nutella sold at Target or grocery stores) or Nutella

Instructions

  1. Prep the berries: Wash the fresh berries, remove the stem, and slice them into ¼ inch thin slices. Alternatively, you can mash them with a fork in a bowl.


  2. Make the sandwich: Spread Nutella on both slices of bread.

  3. Place the strawberry slices on one side and close the sandwich. Spreading Nutella on both sides will prevent the strawberries from sliding out.


  • Place the Nutella strawberry sandwich in a lunch container where it fits snugly. Pack any sides, like fruits and veggies, in a separate compartment or container. Refrigerate until ready to pack inside a lunch bag, with or without an ice pack.
