About the Recipe

Transform salmon into a restaurant-quality dish with this teriyaki glazed salmon recipe. This recipe has the delicious flavors of teriyaki, orange, ginger and sesame. An easy marinade becomes a flavorful glaze for topping the cooked salmon; when paired with some rice and a vegetable for the ultimate meal.

Ingredients

  • 6 salmon filets

  • ¾ cup teriyaki sauce

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 3 tsp sesame oil

  • 3 orange zested and juiced

  • 3 tsp ginger squeeze tube, or fresh

  • sesame seeds chopped, for garnish

  • scallions chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients, except for the sesame seeds.

  • Submerge the salmon in the marinade and cover; let it marinate in the fridge for at least four hours before cooking. I did this in the same baking dish I cooked the salmon in.

  • When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 450°F.

  • Drain the marinade from the dish and pour it into a small saucepan for later.

  • Bake the salmon for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.

  • Meanwhile, bring the reserved marinade to a boil in the small saucepan, then reduce to simmer and simmer for 5 minutes until it reduces to a glaze.

  • Spoon the glaze over each fillet before serving.

  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and scallions for garnish.

Notes:

Serve with rice and or veggies such as steamed broccoli.
